The Training, Innovation & Leadership Institute (TILI) is seeking dynamic educators to join our mission of advancing the next generation of medical and emergency response professionals. As part of the RI Medical Reserve Corps, TILI delivers state-of-the-art simulation training, leadership development, and tactical education using military-grade trauma and response equipment.
We’re looking for experienced EMS, fire, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and sharing real-world expertise. Instructors will play a key role in developing high-impact training programs that prepare responders for complex, high-stress environments.

The EMT / AEMT Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students enrolled in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced EMT (AEMT), and AEMT Cardiac programs. Instruction will be provided in accordance with the National EMS Education Standards, National Scope of Practice Model, and Rhode Island Department of Health EMS Regulations. This role includes both classroom-based lectures and hands-on psychomotor skills training, with a focus on preparing students for certification and real-world emergency medical response.

The American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor at the Training, Innovation & Leadership Institute (TILI) is responsible for delivering advanced resuscitation training to healthcare professionals and emergency responders. Instruction will adhere to the most current AHA ACLS curriculum and TILI’s educational standards for excellence in clinical training. The instructor will lead both didactic and hands-on sessions designed to strengthen critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills in high-acuity cardiac and respiratory emergencies. This role supports TILI’s mission to advance clinical readiness and leadership through innovative, evidence-based education.

The American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor at the Training, Innovation & Leadership Institute (TILI) is responsible for providing expert instruction in pediatric emergency cardiovascular care, in accordance with AHA and TILI educational standards. The instructor will facilitate classroom and hands-on simulation training to prepare healthcare providers to recognize and respond to critically ill or injured infants and children. This role emphasizes interactive, scenario-driven education that builds confidence, teamwork, and clinical proficiency. The PALS Instructor plays a vital role in advancing TILI’s mission of fostering preparedness, resilience, and leadership across healthcare and emergency response systems.

The Director of the Rhode Island Behavioral Health Medical Reserve Corps (RI BH MRC) leads the statewide behavioral health preparedness, response, and recovery operations within the RI MRC network. This role is responsible for strategic leadership, program development, and operational oversight of the behavioral health volunteer corps — ensuring readiness to provide mental health and psychosocial support during public health emergencies, disasters, and community resilience initiatives. The Director works in close partnership with federal, state, and local agencies, community partners, academic institutions, and other MRC units to integrate behavioral health into emergency response frameworks, while also developing innovative prevention and wellness programs.

The TRT Clinical Manager serves as the operational and clinical lead for the Trauma Response Team (TRT) within the Rhode Island Behavioral Health Medical Reserve Corps. This position oversees the development, coordination, deployment, and evaluation of trauma-informed crisis response and behavioral health support operations during emergencies, critical incidents, and community-based interventions. The Clinical Manager will supervise multidisciplinary TRT members, ensure adherence to behavioral health standards of care, coordinate with local, state, and federal partners, and guide the integration of behavioral health resources into emergency preparedness and recovery operations.
